There are roughly 16,000 Jewish people still living in Rome, and their community is one of the oldest of the Western World, dating back to the II century B.C. After their dispersal in other neighborhoods, the Ghetto still remains their primary gathering place. It is considered to be one of the least known gems of the Eternal City’s wonders, with its narrow streets, little stores, culinary traditions and history. Wander with your Tour Guide in this amazing area of the city, visit the Synagogue and the adjacent Museum, with very important manuscripts and exhibits, try the delicious Carciofi alla Giudia (their well-known fried artichokes), and then walk over the bridge to get into one of the most picturesque neighborhoods of Rome: Trastevere. Discover its squares, typical stores, restaurants and cable stones with our Dreamin’Rome expert who will reveal all the legends and myths that have always characterized this fascinating area.
